Update after the Nacra Worlds in Denmark

12 July 2015

Overall, things didn't quite go to plan in Denmark.  The event was blighted by too little or too much wind so we only managed eight races out of the scheduled sixteen:

Sunday 5th - no racing - not enough wind - thunderstorms expected overnight

Monday 6th - a long wait ashore for the wind to drop, then two qualifying races, scoring a 3rd  and 8th (which was a good recovery after a caspize!)

Tuesday 7th - three more qualifying races, scoring 4, 10, 3 so comfortably into the gold fleet for the final series.

Wednesday 8th - first day of gold fleet racing and a long wait for the wind to drop enough for us to sail - raining all day - where's summer gone?

Despite good starts, we struggled a bit and only manged two 20ths, coming ashore at 2140!  We have dropped to 12th overall at this stage.

Thursday 9th - no racing - too windy - that meant that we missed the medal race by two points - doh!

Friday 10th - no racing for us - too windy again.

Overall, things didn't quite click for us, but plenty to take away and think about.
